ABOUT

Claire Azzopardi
Founder & Head Coach
I am a national athlete and gymnastics coach with a background in competitive sports. I hold a Sports Degree and a Master’s in Physical Education. In addition to coaching, I am a semi-professional track and field athlete, regularly representing Malta in international competitions.
My journey in gymnastics began at the age of three, leading to a 13-year career as an athlete. I had the honor of representing Malta at the European Championships and became a Small Nations Games medalist. At 15, I transitioned from competing to coaching, pursuing coaching qualifications in the UK. I am now a certified Level 2 Artistic Gymnastics Coach, dedicated to developing the next generation of athletes.
It has always been my dream to manage and run my own gymnastics club, with the goal of improving the level of the sport in Malta and giving young children the opportunity to be part of this incredible sport.

Pembroke Athleta Gymnastics
(PAG)
PAG has been growing steadily since its launch in 2020. What began as a small program with classes twice a week, focused on general gymnastics for fun, has since expanded significantly. Over the years, the club has grown to welcome hundreds of members, increased its class offerings, and achieved success in both local and international competitions. PAG has also organized numerous events for members and their families, fostering a strong sense of community.
PAG is more than just a gymnastics club—it’s a supportive, ever-growing family where children feel safe, encouraged, and inspired every day.
